Bane of the Elements

Bane of the Elements is an elemental-based platformer situated in a world corrupted by the void. Avoid the void-corrupted obstacles and creatures, and use the elements to your advantage as the environment can react differently according to your element state.

Controls

• Left/Right Arrow keys - Movement
• Up Arrow Key - Jump / Double Jump in Air / Wall Jump in Water
• A - Switch to Air
• W - Switch to Water
• E - Switch to Earth
• F - Switch to Fire

Element bonuses 

• Air - Can Double Jump and falls down slower
• Water - Can Hold on Wall and Wall Jump
• Earth - If the player gains enough speed through gravity (falls from a high place) then he can Destroy transparent objects, falls down faster
• Fire - Is faster and jumps higher

Each element can also interact differently with objects in the world

This game was developed at the Czech Technical University in Prague in the course Games as our first game of a 'larger', team scale by a group of students with a help of a more experienced mentor. The game was developed and submitted in 2019, this version contains only an extra jump bug fix, coyote jump, and a jump buffer, as well as other small fixes in the levels and a camera zoom-out in 2 areas.
